Star Diamond was absorbed by Barranca Diamond (MK Diamond Products) who continue to manufacture and market a virtually identical Cab Combo Workshop. Current retail for the Barranca unit is $1,240.00This unit is equipped with 6″ diamond blade trim saw, two 6″ carbide lapidary grinding wheels, and a 6″ polishing disc.It is plumbed for water cooling for each disc,with individual control of water volume for each wheel. There is space and available coolant supply for a third wheel or expandable drum on the right side, inboard of the installed polishing disc. All parts for the old Star Diamond unit are available from MK Diamond. However, the unit I have for sale is as new, there is no wear on any part, bearings as new and fluid valves fully operational. The unit comes as new with two 6″ Cascade carbide lapidary wheels, LCB 100 coarse grit, and LCB 220 fine grit. The unit was originally sold without motor, but is supplied with belt and installed sheave on blade/wheel shaft. The motor recommendation is for a common, readily available 1/3 HP, 1725 RPM ,single-phase 120 volt 60 Hz motor.
